Now you can experience Lula Lake with a Private Guided Hiking Tour!

We now offer two unique guided hiking opportunities at our famous Core Preserve. Led by an expert, you'll receive an in-depth experience into the beauty and wonder of nature. Treat your family and friends to memories that'll last forever.

Our LLLT Guides will lead you on a private hike traversing the Core Preserve visiting iconic features such as Lula Lake, Lula Falls, and our Bluff Trail, all while providing insight on our history and efforts to protect and preserve these natural wonders.

If you want to take your Open Gate Day experience to the next level, we can provide you with a knowledgable guide to show you the ropes! Led by a local expert, they will take you on a trail adventure to experience the outstanding beauty of the famous Lula Lake, impressive Lula Falls, and the scenic Bluff overlook. Your group will learn about the history of Lula Lake Land Trust, our conservation efforts, and everything our Core Preserve has to offer. At 4.5 miles with an elevation gain of 700ft., this 3-4 hour hiking experience is considered moderately difficult.

Want a more private hiking experience? In order to be successful in our conservation efforts, Lula Lake’s Core Preserve has limited access to the public, but that doesn’t mean we can’t show it off occasionally! We are now offering private guided hikes on our Core Preserve led by one of our experts. Catered to your ability level, we will show you all the highlights of our pristine, protected land including the lake, waterfall, and overlook. This unique opportunity will help you learn all about Lula Lake Land Trust and why we work so hard to protect this beautiful natural resource.

Get ready for a fun 5K adventure at Lula Lake Land Trust on Saturday, June 11! Our Tails & Trails Summer 5K takes racers and their leashed dog through Lula Lake's scenic Core Preserve - with water / cool off stations for your four-legged friend. You don't have to have a dog to race (but it makes it more fun). Top prize for racers and their pup will be a "howl-worthy" dog food package. Assistant Land Manager Intern: This position will be responsible for assisting the land manager with maintaining the Trust property while working with local landowners and partners in trail development efforts, coordinating education and research activities on land trust property.

Additional Responsibilities:

Regular patrol of Trust properties to discourage trespassers and encroachment.
Management of the property in accordance with the land management plans.
Maintain points of access and boundaries on Trust properties.
Perform routine property maintenance including bush hogging, mowing, weed whacking, road maintenance, culvert and ditch work, trail design and layout, mechanized trail construction, trail infrastructure construction (bridges, signage), removal of deadfall and down trees, maintenance of management areas and areas of concern, trash pickup, exotic species control/elimination, sign placement, boundary marking, equipment maintenance and erosion control.
Assist with interpretive programs for educational groups, field trips, research projects, and special events in association with the Trust
Manage and supervise Open Gate Days the first and last Saturday (occasional Sundays) of each month
Assist with planning, organizing, and provide leadership during volunteer workdays and special events.
