FROM THE PRESIDENT
Welcome to BPW 2021-2022
"Never Stop Dreaming"
Greetings, Sisters. Well, we have come to end of another year. I'm very proud of everything we have accomplished this past year. It just goes to show the power, strength, resilience, love, generosity, kindness, and beauty of women who come together for a common goal. You are all truly amazing and I'm proud to know you.
Being President has definitely clued me in on some things about BPW that I didn't know. For example, I will never again complain or be frustrated by the Member Book not being done in a timely manner! It has been a struggle for me, and I do apologize for not having it done yet! I have canceled some of my obligations and set aside January to complete it. Also this experience has allowed me to learn more about each and every member, which has been one of the best parts of being president.
This has been the busiest year that I have had in a very long time! It felt like it did when I was a single Mom, working three jobs, and going to college! I was so busy this fall that I never got my tree decorated for Christmas! This is a first for me and has never happened in all of my 60 years! For those of you who don't know, I'm one of those people who puts their tree up the first week in October! It was devastating for my psyche, and I'm not sure I'll ever get over it! I guess I'll just have to set it up extra early next year!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and got to visit with family and friends. I was so glad that we got to have our Christmas party in-person this year! it was so much fun, and I enjoyed it tremendously! We went live on Facebook for a short time, and it seemed that many of you who couldn't attend enjoyed that. So we will be going live for a short time at 6pm for our January meeting. If you can't make it, go to our Facebook Page at 6pm and check it out. We are trying to include everyone and keep us all connected whether you are staying home because of COVID, traveling, spending time in warmer climates (I'm so jealous of you), or those who can't attend for whatever reason. In addition we will record the live event and it will be on our page for you to view at any time.
Just a few more things we need help with this year. I will be appointing an Audit Committee. Stephanie House has graciously volunteered to be on the committee. I will need two more ladies to help audit the books. So if you are willing to volunteer, please let me know. We are also planning a "Celebrating 95 Years" Recognition Night. We are looking for some volunteers for the committee. So if you'd like to help plan this celebration please let me know. It will be a fun time planning and a fun celebration too!
Lastly, we are still needing teams for our Trivia Night Fundraiser. In addition to teams, we are in need of gift baskets for our raffle. So if you or your business would like to donate a gift basket it would be greatly appreciated! We depend on this fundraiser for scholarships, so any help is greatly appreciated. You can bring the basket to the meeting next week, or let us know and we'll pick it up. Check out the info in this newsletter for more information on the event. I hope to see you all at the meeting next week, and I wish you all a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
Until we meet again,
Carrie Perkins-Schnicker, President

It was amazing that we were able to give so many wonderful presents to two teenagers in our community for Christmas. This is the best thing about all the ladies in our organization! You are all so generous with your time, talents, and money. Making a difference, and helping our community has been so important to our organization since it's beginning. It's staggering to think about the impact we have made in our community and how many people we have helped throughout our 95 years!! Here's hoping that we have 95 more!

We have it on good authority that Santa is a huge BPW fan. And we are very lucky to have Mrs. Claus as a member!
One Hope United Christmas Project
THANK YOU to my BPW sisters for your continued support of the One Hope United Christmas Project. Because of your AMAZING generosity we were able to get $10 McDonald's gift cards for all the youth for stocking stuffers, AND, additional $10 Sonic gift cards for the staff to use as incentives and rewards during the year! Thank you again for your love and support of these youth!
May you be blessed in 2022 with happiness and success.
