The COVID restrictions and now the smoky air have created a lot of extra work and adjustment to stay connected to friends & family, work & leisure activities.  However, the extra work can also bring an increased appreciation of connecting with others.  The VGS Board is back for a new season working hard to get together with you, our guitar friends and family, and to bring you great guitar music. Read on for our first initiatives.
The Victoria Guitar Society is working hard to present our 2019/2020 postponed concert: Victoria Showcase. The upcoming concert will be a contact-less and physical distanced live/live streaming hybrid.  This will mean that seats will be limited for the in-house venue, and the live stream will be a quality video/audio experience allowing you to experience the concert from the comfort of your own home.
Are you looking to learn more about classical guitar?  Whether you are looking to improve your psychological or physiological well being (exercise that cerebral neural network!) or wishing to become a gigging musician, classical guitar teachers (most also teach other instruments) are available to help you on your journey at our TEACHER LISTING page.
The VGS Community Ensemble had an active outdoor summer rehearsal season enhanced by a festive public performance in Oaklands Park in July.  Our first indoor practice for the new season will be in a larger setting, allowing for physical distancing.

We are also excited to be taking part in an international music evening, programmed in Germany and dedicated to 19th century guitarist and composer Rudolf Leberl, on November 13, 2020.

If you are interested in joining or would like the ensemble to play for you, see the VGS Community Ensemble webpage.
9. Fantasiestuck by R. Leberl performed by Victoria Guitar Society Community Ensemble: Shannon, John, Misha, Roman, Dario, Janice, Juan, Linda, Margaret.
