The BCGS has created a SPECIAL coupon for a 50% off concert tickets for Victoria Guitar Society members and patrons, for the joint concert of lutenist Ronn McFarlane and guitarist Matt Palmer, tomorrow, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 5:00 PM PST (8pm in Baltimore).

Both Ronn McFarlane and Matt Palmer are past VGS artists who enjoy visiting and performing in our beautiful city.

  3. Click “save and view cart” and a new page opens with your ticket in the cart
  4. Put the coupon code Victoria in the box where it says “Have A Promotional Code?” and click “apply coupon”
  5. You’ll see 50% taken off and you can proceed to checkout with your credit card
You will receive a confirmation email for your ticket purchase, and on Saturday you will receive an email with the password and instructions (easy) on how to watch the concert along with a link to a post-concert zoom reception.
Note: If you are unable to watch the concert on Saturday, please let us know and instead of sending you a link to watch on Saturday, we’ll send you a different link to watch the concert for up to 72 hours on Vimeo.

The concert will be available for 72 hours with a password
Virtual lobby opens at 4:00 PM PST (7:00 PM in Baltimore) with interviews with the artists. Ticket holders are invited to a post-concert zoom reception (first come, first served). Link to the reception will be mailed with the password to view the concert broadcast.

The program includes a new work for lute and guitar commissioned by the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society. Click on the video above to hear an excerpt of this beautiful work.

If you cannot watch the broadcast with us on Saturday, your ticket will allow you to watch the concert on Vimeo for up to 72 hours, until Tuesday evening. (Vimeo password on request).

Scott Tennant is a founding member of the the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, the GRAMMY-winning ensemble composed entirely of alumni of the USC Thornton School of Music, and is himself considered to be one of the world’s top classical guitarists.
During his student years at USC (1980-1986), he studied with Pepe Romero, James Smith and was a chosen performer in the USC Segovia Masterclasses of 1981 and 1986. He has authored several books and articles on guitar technique, including the best-seller Pumping Nylon, which has attained a “cult” classic status. It has become a standard text in conservatory and university guitar programs around the world.
