In the Neighborhood
During the 2020-2021 school year, a group of five IFLS libraries collaborated to offer monthly virtual teen programs on Zoom. Libraries provided free grab bags containing snacks, activities, and crafting supplies for 12-18 year-olds to pick-up and use during the virtual events. Themes included author talks, musicians, games, crafting, cooking, cultural activities, and “adulting” skills. More than a dozen participati each month.
For th 2021-22 school year we’ve invited other Wisconsin libraries to join the collaboration. At this time there are 17 libraries involved. Contact is Stacey Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org.
