The Spooker Attic at the Westgarth Social Club
It's going to be bloody lovely this one. We promise.
Our Krypton Son
Our Krypton Son is Irish songwriter Christopher McConaghy. He has shared the stage with a number of acts including Snow Patrol, Duke Special, Hozier, DEUS, Two Door Cinema Club and Alabama 3 to name a few, performing at T Vital and Other Voices in Dingle. His self-titled debut album was produced by Sam Williams (Supergrass, The Go Team, Gaz Coombes) and released via Smalltown America Records in 2013 to great acclaim. Our Krypton Son returned in 2017 with 'Fleas And Diamonds' which has subsequently been shortlisted for the coveted NI Music Prize Album Of The Year.
"A textured, thoughtful and beautiful piece of work from start to finish" - Hotpress "Classic, often understated pop songs"- The Daily Mirror "A work of genius" - State "Echoes Of Neil Hannon, Scott Walker, Magnetic Fields & Leonard Cohen" - The Irish News

Sullivan and Gold
Spooker faves Sullivan & Gold released their debut album 'For Foes' in 2013 to critical acclaim. The album received airplay on Radio 1, Radio Ulster, RTE Radio 1 and was nominated for the 2014 Northern Ireland Music Prize. Sullivan & Gold have toured and played in many unusual venues/spaces; including Tipperary bookshops, a Derry thatched cottage, a Norwich cathedral and a Cumbrian mine.
Having relocated to Durham, and with work on his second album well underway, singles "Guatamala" and "Break Your Heart Slowly" were released in 2017 to critical acclaim from both sides of the Irish Sea.
"If sumptuous and carefully crafted songs are your thing, For Foes will make for a pleasing listen ... including soaring falsettos and lovely lyricism." - The Sunday Times
“Their eventual return has made us wonder how we managed without Sullivan & Gold. That vocal is gentle and reassuring, the subtle strings perfect for a quiet afternoon in the sun. Summer’s coming." - BBC Introducing
Here's the lovely Ben of Sullivan & Gold playing the gorgeously-dark 'Forget Myself' for us back in 2015 when he first played our little attic and did a little Spooker Session track for us. What a gem this is.
We'll be back in touch real soon with a shiny new podcast for ya and some more spookery gig announcements!
See you tonight, yeah?!
