We want to talk.

– to have a real community dialogue about the intersections of houselessness and housing. We want to talk not just about Montavilla but the citywide crisis we find ourselves in.

To answer our questions, we invited local service providers, city officials, neighborhood activists, housing advocates, and the currently or formerly houseless – groups like Rahab's Sisters, Metro House Share, Right 2 Survive and Sisters of the Road. Volunteer opportunities below.
Have questions? – come get answers.

How are gentrification and houselessness connected?
What kinds of barriers prevent people from getting housing?
Is there anything we can do as neighbors?

This forum will be conversationally driven and action-oriented. Please bring your curiosity, energy and a notepad!

The event is this coming Saturday, June 30th from 11am to 2pm, at  IRCO – Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization: 10301 NE Glisan

There will be day-of registration and the event is open to the public.

We encourage Montavilla Neighborhood Association Membership to Register Online so that we can ensure your seat.
