One of the biggest dilemmas faced by organisations during the COVID 19 crisis has been the response of management to the disruption in the work environment. Many organisations were poorly prepared to deal with the crisis of balancing financial performance with empathy for employees. We spoke to Corporate Secretaries about their own experience during the COVID crisis and we share their insights in our latest videos as they speak to Ethical Leadership in a COVID-19 Environment from their different jurisdictional perspectives.

Shamida Smit (FCIS, Past President of CGISA) and Dr Syed Hamid Aljunid (FCIS, President of MAICSA) takes us through how organisations face the struggle of being compassionate towards employees, customers and the broad stakeholder community while protecting the financial performance and sustainability of the organisation. They share their thoughts on how organisations face this dilemma, the main concerns of employees during this period and about interventions employers can put into place to address concerns of their employees.
