Wishing you a wonderful and arty 2019.

Steve Hajnoczky’s Artwork of the Month

This month’s photo is from the eyeSnowScape series created by Steve in 2014. Here, a layer of frost crystals gently shadows the paintings below, bringing the two different pieces together in dialogue. This piece is now on sale in the teacozy store. Panels can be purchased in the set shown here, or separately upon request.
Each monthly newsletter will feature one of Steve’s works as a way of celebrating his life and art. If you know of any of his friends who might like to receive these monthly newsletters, please do send them this link: https://www.ateacozyisasometimes.com/contact-and-connect/#/newsletter/

Chapbook Review

rob mclennan has posted a lovely review on his blog of Variations on the Stillness of Motion. rob calls this chapbook, “quiet and still and lovely.”
Variations includes seventeen watercolour paintings and poems by Helen. This work uses a repetitive painting method and elliptical writing style as a way to emulate the ebb and flow of grief.
The chapbook is on sale now for $10, or you can follow along on Instragram where Helen will be posting each page of the work for free, using the hashtag #VariationsOnTheStillnessOfMotion If you don’t use Instagram, you can follow the posts from the website, too https://www.ateacozyisasometimes.com/instagram/
