Dear Friends and Family of ABS,

As some of you know, TCB is creating a new and exciting production, "7th Ave & Ybor" which will be the first part of a trilogy series. Shining a spotlight on characters and communities of Ybor City in the early 1900s.

This production will give our Pre-Professional students the unique opportunity to be in a professional production in theaters not only in Tampa (May 25th and 26th) but also in St. Pete (May 29th).

We have several dancers coming from out of town who are in need of housing for the month of May. We would be very appreciative of anyone who would kindly offer to house the dancers that are in need.

Please contact America's Ballet School if you are able to offer assistance. 813-558-0800.

As always, thank you for your support.

Paula~

The Costume Corner needs anyone who can sew or hem. The first show is scheduled for June 11. Many students have more than 1 costume to wear with many adjustments that need to be done. There is a lot of work with little time so many hands can get this task done quickly. Experts are not needed but welcome. Please let Roxanne or Denise know if you are available to assist. Once you are given a task you can even complete it in your home. It is also possible to have a sewing party on a Saturday in June.
America’s Ballet School is excited to induct new members into our official Secondary Chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts! We are also excited to announce our new Junior Chapter beginning this May!

The National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) is a program dedicated to recognizing dance students (9-12th grade; 6-8th grade) for their outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in the field of dance. NHSDA also strives to foster an appreciation for dance as a true art form, worthy of recognition and prestige. Attendance at a dance performance counts toward your points.

Those interested in being inducted into NHSDA Junior Chapter (incoming 6th - 8th grade) should plan to attend the informational meeting on Thursday, May 2 at 6 pm. at the studio.
Tampa City Ballet would appreciate your support and here are some ways to help!
