Globalink Research Award, Mitacs
The Mitacs Globalink Research Award provides $6,000 for senior undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows in Canada to conduct 12–24-week research projects at universities overseas in countries including Australia, Japan, France, Mexico, Norway, the UK, Korea and the United States.

3rd Annual Changing Political Landscapes Conference, Memorial University 

The Third Annual Changing Political Landscapes is an interdisciplinary student conference for undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in politics broadly defined. The conference will take place on April 8th, 2019, at Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John’s Campus. The conference will offer students from all disciplines an opportunity to present their research on politically-related topics and get feedback from professors and peers on their politically related research.

Students interested in presenting are invited to submit abstract proposals of no more than 250-words to  politicallandscapes@gmail.com  by Sunday, March 10th. Abstracts should be accompanied by the student’s name, email address, program, and department. The conference welcomes proposals from all members of the university, emphasizing the need to represent the myriad of voices that exist within our diverse community.

It is encouraged that presenters complete their paper before the Conference date, but it is not mandatory. Those invited to present their research at the conference are required to submit the draft of the paper by Friday, March 22nd, 2019.

Ph.D. Studentship on International Migration and Fair Employment in the Scottish Fishing Industry, University of Glasgow, Scotland
An ESRC Ph.D. studentship on international migration and fair employment in the Scottish fishing industry is being offered by the School of Geographical and Earth Sciences at the University of Glasgow. The studentship is offered in collaboration with the Scottish Government through the Collaborative Doctoral Award scheme of the Scottish Graduate School for Social Science (ESRC). It is also available as a 1+3 studentship which includes MRes + Ph.D. The Ph.D. would suit students with a background in qualitative social research (human geography, sociology, anthropology, environmental studies) and with an interest in international migration, postcolonial studies, political ecology or critical environmental policy.
