There’s a bunch of good stuff this week, so we’ll get right to it. Just one thing first: thank you to those who’ve helped fund us so far. You’re awesome. And for everyone else, the most powerful thing you can do to support us is to spread gun rights. The best way to do that is to make new gun owners. And the best way to do that is to take a newbie shooting.

Make it a great week, gang.

Guns are specifically designed to kill: the logic error behind the whole gun debate
A new article from us this week explaining the logic error behind the objection that “guns are specifically designed to kill”, and how it explains a surprisingly huge amount of the disagreement about guns.

Guns of Centre Market
A neat walk through the history of gun shops in NYC’s Little Italy.

The Chinese gun lovers of Texas
The description on the video says it best: “Welcome to Donald Chen’s Texas ranch: a place where Chinese gun lovers live out firearm fantasies that are largely forbidden in China. For Chen, this is the American Dream.”

Teaching my girlfriend how to shoot
Take a newbie shooting!

“It's remarkable to see a federal agency show open contempt for a community as large and sympathetic as model airplane builders. They’re essentially saying the expect the hobby of homebuilt aircraft to be ‘phased out.’”
A Twitter thread on upcoming FAA rules that threaten to snuff out the homebuilt aircraft community. Note how quickly the people in the thread come up with the model plane equivalents of stripped AR receivers and Form 1 suppressors. “Life, uh, finds a way.”

Everygun for Town Safety 😉: “There’s no epidemic of mass violence in the US. The late 1980s and early 1990s had the highest incidence of shootings.”
High-quality and easily shareable charts from Everygun. Also dovetails with recent research showing that school shootings are not on the rise, and the rate of school shooting deaths is a quarter of what it was in the early ‘90s.

Corpus linguistics and the phrase “keep and bear arms”
Interesting research on the historical meaning of each part of the phrase.

Four Seattle liberals on why they own guns and who they’re voting for in the primary
Cool to see this being covered by Seattle’s NPR station.

Governor of Tennessee comes out in favor of constitutional carry
Given the pro-gun-rights makeup of the state legislature, Tennessee looks like it's about to become the 17th constitutional carry state. In 2014, only 5 states had constitutional carry. Carry laws are one of the greatest success stories in the history of gun rights in the US. If you’re ever feeling nervous about the way things are looking, look at this gif of carry laws changing from 1986 through today.

Garand Thumb reviews the B.E. Myers MAWL
You’re probably all subscribed to Garand Thumb already. We’re linking this video because of the incredible production value. Our thing is “make more gun owners”. And you know what? Cool stuff is cool! Fun stuff is fun! So make cool, fun, top-quality stuff, and you will create new gun owners.

If you’ve ever made a YouTube channel of fun, well-produced videos full of gun porn, and you accidentally ended up securing gun rights for yourself and your posterity, go ahead and hit that subscribe button.
