Two New Products from DNALabs

By Moni Lustig,
President & Chief Executive Officer

I am excited to announce the launch of 2 new additional products this month.
Infertility affects up to 15% of all couples globally.  While the causes of infertility are multifactorial, 50% of cases of infertility are estimated to be due to genetic factors.  Genetic testing helps to better understand the interactions between genetics, the environment and lifestyle factors and their influence on reproductive health.
DNALabs is proud to announce the release of our Fertility Report which will help uncover important gene-based lifestyle factors that affect male and female fertility, including risk for nutrient deficiencies, oxidative stress, metabolic changes and response to dietary interventions, and sensitivity to environmental toxins.  Fortunately, lifestyle modifications tailored to each individual can work at the genetic level to address underlying factors that influence reproductive health.
We are also thrilled to announce the much anticipated release of our Feed My Genes DNA Diet Playbook.  By leveraging your unique genetic profile, we have personalized your DNA Diet Playbook to best suit your body’s needs.  This is the leading edge of personalized nutrition.  The report contains gene-specific dietary guidelines and recipes, tailored to you based on your DNA, that will enable you to take practical steps to optimize your health and reduce the risk of specific lifestyle-based conditions.
We are excited for the launch of both products and look forward to announcing more in the coming months.

Lights Camera Action!

  By Elana Lustig,
  Director of Marketing

Last month, we had the honour of joining Kathy Ireland, in studio, in Santa Barbara, for the taping of Worldwide Business on personalized healthcare with our leading genetic testing solutions. We are excited for our interview to air this month on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 5:30 PM EST on Fox Business Network.

DNALabs was founded 6 years ago, with the primary objective and strong belief that everyone without exception, should have an equal opportunity to learn more about themselves and their DNA, and from this knowledge, be empowered to embrace the opportunities of living better lives. Genetic testing has grown into a valuable tool for medical discovery whether through traditional medicine with our MatchMyMeda™ Pharmacogenetic Drug Compatibility test as well as our holistic offerings with our LoveMyHealth™ Lifestyle Genetics and other expansions within our Nutrigenomic categories. We provide testing for all ages, from infants to the elderly.  For example, we have infants that require pharmacogenomic test results for their doctor to prescribe certain medications including heart transplant patients.  We have stroke patients that require test results, patients awaiting prescription for depression and anxiety, and we even have clients that require their lifestyle genomic test results to continue to live a healthy lifestyle. Genetic testing is indeed the future of medicine, and we are proud and excited to be part of it!

How Can Our Genes Influence Our Physical Fitness?

  By Dr. Aaron Goldman, ND
  Chief Science Officer

With summer around the corner, many people are excited to spend more time outside and to get some extra exercise in – whether that’s because you want to work towards getting that beach body, or you simply want to optimize your health and wellbeing, there’s no wrong reason. And the benefits of exercise are not only for our physical fitness, but can also improve our mental wellbeing.

Our genes can impact various aspects related to physical fitness and can help determine the exercise regimen best suited for our unique genetic makeup. Our genes can also help us understand our susceptibility to injury; how quickly we are able to recover after a workout; the impact of exercise on managing Type 2 Diabetes; our pain tolerance; our inherent inclination towards exercise; and our bone health profile. In this month’s newsletter, we’ll discuss exercise recovery, bone health, and motivation.

Does The Timing Of Your Meals Affect Weight Loss? Your Genes May Have The Answer
Emotional Eating in Women

  By Dr. Robyn Murphy, ND
  Scientific Advisory Board Member
and Uroj Mohsin, BSc.

Trying to lose weight can be a stressful and challenging process. Most people turn to dietary solutions to achieve their goals or focus on exercising at the gym. Some individuals are successful when following these interventions but around 20% of overweight individuals struggle to lose more than 10% of their initial body weight. After losing weight, many still struggle to maintain that weight loss. In addition to caloric consumption and expenditure – the timing of meals can make a big difference in how much weight is lost.

Your inner circadian cycle is responsible for many of your physiological and bodily functions. This clock explains why you have a sleep-wake cycle. Similarly, you also have an energy metabolism cycle, which maintains food intake and eating habits. This rhythm works together with energy regulation, metabolism and fat digestion. The disruption of this cycle by changing timings of meals can be a cause for difficulty in weight loss.

Chairman of the Board & Chief Strategist

Our world is always in motion and the future is no more obvious to us than it was when we started our company over five years ago. However, to the credit of our great hardworking team under the executive leadership of Moni and Aaron we have built an internal platform of strategy to take advantage of opportunities more resilient than that which we inherited just a few years back. I am proud as Chairman to be part of this team as well.

We have enhanced our ability to recruit even more talented people in this past month and made new investments in technology and growth organic initiatives.
