To the KAAN Community:
I hope this message finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe during this time. The health and safety of our conference attendees is our top priority, and so it is with a heavy heart that I am writing to announce that the KAAN Advisory Council and myself have made the decision to cancel the KAAN 2020 Conference in Denver, CO. Though this was a difficult decision to make, given the state of uncertainty, it is the only way we can ensure the safety and health of our community.
For those of you who have already registered and paid for the KAAN 2020 Conference, you may choose to be fully refunded. You may also choose to donate all or a portion of your registration fee that will help support KAAN’s mission throughout the year. Please contact Rachel Hye Youn Rupright at email@example.com by May 1 on how you would like to proceed. If we do not hear from you by May 1, it will be processed as a donation.
In difficult and uncertain times like these, the type of support and encouragement that the KAAN Conference provides is more important than ever. Therefore, the KAAN Advisory Council is actively exploring alternative ways of supporting and providing encouragement to our community. Please stay tuned for more information about virtual meetings and other ways to connect in the coming weeks.
We know that KAAN holds a special place in each of your hearts, and that we are not alone in our sadness and disappointment that we will not be able to physically gather, share, support, and encourage one another this summer. Please stay connected with us on Facebook and through our KAAN blog, and we look forward to seeing you in Denver 2021.
Sincerely and with gratitude,
Katie Bozek, PhD, LMFT, Executive Director
