Grandmothers Circle of News
"We are pleased to announce that Sarah Soltow has felt the call to serve as our registrar this year. We have already begun our work with Sarah to ensure a successful Grandmother's Retreat 2019 and look forward to seeing you all then!"
-Blair and Lovely, Co-Weavers
Oh my! Can I do this! It seems like a good idea, but... oh my.
It seems like a pretty good fit to join the role of Registrar with that of WordWeaver…
at least to try it on and see how it fits. Oh my! How is all of this going to work!?!
-Sarah Soltow, WordWeaver/Registrar
And the Chorus of Grandmothers raise their Voice in reply:
"Hell, yes!! Go for it! We've got your back!!"
Aho…. And So It Is!

Indigenous GM Gathering in Sedona, AZ
The International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers held a gathering in Sedona from April 19th-22nd, 2019. I had the honor to attend and listen to 4 of the members: Agnes Baker Pilgrim from Oregon, Rita Pitka Bluminstein from Alaska, Mona Polacco from Arizona, and Rita Long Visitor Holy Dance from South Dakota. The work of these women and their sister Grandmothers is holy, powerful and inspiring. Check out their website for more details: http://www.grandmotherscouncil.org There were so many “take-aways” for me and one of them was to never doubt the power of prayer which leads to action. These Grandmothers come from many traditions from the 4 directions but their common ground is prayer for peace making and healing of Mother Earth. And, they put these prayers into action through their projects. I came home renewed to be more consistent with my prayers and intentionally about my actions for peace making and healing of Mother Earth.

Blessing the Water
I arrived a bit late, but was honored to be present for the Earth Day Blessings offered by the Indigenous Grandmothers. In this picture, water that carries the blessings and prayers of the Grandmothers was returned to the source water of Montezuma's Well.
Peace to all- Sarah Soltow
