Statement of Solidarity Against Anti-Asian Racism

Members of the U of T community have expressed collective shock and outrage in the wake of last week's tragic events in Atlanta, Georgia and reports of increased anti-Asian racism, violence and harassment here in Toronto and around the world. Writers on Writing: Professor Nhung Tuyet Tran

Join Professor Nhung Tuyet Tran of the Department of History along with host Professor Andrea Williams for this month's Writers on Writing session. Professor Tran is an accomplished scholar who has also written op-ed pieces on immigration policy regarding refugees. She will discuss her writing practice and answer questions from participants. All are welcome. Contact Andrea Williams with any questions.

Anti-Semitism Working Group Survey

The University of Toronto has established the Anti-Semitism Working Group (ASWG). The ASWG will review programming, activities, processes and practices in place at the institution and make recommendations to support the University’s response to anti-Semitism. The ASWG has released a consultation survey and invites members of the University community to share their experiences, feedback and recommendations.

Academic Integrity Student Communications Campaign

The Provost’s Office is expanding access to the resources released as a part of the recent academic integrity student communications campaign. Please note that all instructors and staff are welcome to make use of the materials available. This includes communications templates for addressing academic integrity issues in a variety of formats such as classroom presentations, newsletters, email communications and social media.

Tri-Agency Research Data Management Policy

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada have announced the launch of the Tri-Agency Research Data Management Policy.

Open Access Publishing Deal with SAGE Publishing

The University has signed on to participate in a three-year open access agreement with SAGE Publishing through the Canadian Research Knowledge Network. As of January 1, 2021, U of T researchers may now publish their research as open access without having to pay for article processing charges in more than 900 SAGE Choice journals.
