Writing Strong Graduate Research Proposals
Daniel A. Newman, Director of Graduate Writing Support in the Faculty of Arts & Science, is offering several workshops via Zoom designed to help graduate students write clear and persuasive research proposals for NSERC, CIHR, SSHRC, Vanier and/or OGS applications. Faculty and staff are encouraged to share the registration form with graduate students.

LEAF supports teaching and learning projects that anticipate, leverage and create positive changes in both the modes and mechanisms of undergraduate education at the University of Toronto. The Office of the Vice-Provost, Innovations in Undergraduate Education is currently accepting LEAF Expressions of Interest.

CIHR Summer 2022 Project Grant Writing Workshop: Peer Review Session
This Tri-Campus Peer Review Session is for research faculty who are eligible to apply for CIHR Project Grant funding, led by Professor Jennifer Mitchell of the Department of Cell & Systems Biology — a multiple CIHR project grantee and Peer Review Committee member. Participants must submit their draft project grant for peer review by August 24, 2022. A&S contact: Kate Steinmann.

Jackman Humanities Institute Postgraduate Professional Development Day
A&S humanities and social sciences faculty are encouraged to share the Jackman Humanities Institute’s Professional Development Day event with graduate students. This online workshop will feature sessions on applying for postdoctoral funding and full-time postdoctoral jobs, and how to look for and apply for postings outside academia.
