Expanded Farm Stand Hours
We are experimenting with adding additional farm stand hours in our old location in the CSA shed at the farm. To start, we will open the farm stand during CSA pick-up hours on Fridays from 3:30-6pm. Items in the center section of the cooler will be priced for sale and a specified section of the wooden stand will hold priced items as well. We will continue to hold the Monday farm stand on the Sweet Tree Arts lawn.

Blueberry Sign-ups
If you've been a CSA member before, you'll know that every year we partner with Blue Barrens Farm in Cherryfield, Maine to bring you organic blueberries! Blue Barrens gives our CSA members a discount on 5lb boxes of freezer-ready wild blueberries ($18/box). If you'd like to take advantage of this offer, please look for the sign-up sheet on the main table in the CSA shed. Pre-payment is greatly appreciated, but you can also pay at pick-up. Sign-ups will be open until Wednesday, August 10th.

Basil Sign-ups
We know that most people like to use their fresh basil to make a batch of pesto, so rather than sending you a few sprigs each week over the coming month, we like to distribute our basil in large batches to a few CSA members at a time. Please choose a date (we will even have a few bags ready tomorrow!) and add your name to the sign-up sheet on the table at pick-up. Then mark your calendar and be sure to claim your bag when your basil pick-up date arrives! (If you are a CSA member there is no additional cost for basil. This is part of your share.)
Here is your weekly glimpse of this week's harvest:

This week's CSA shares will include:
Pick-your-own sugar snap or snow peas, mixed summer squash, broccoli, carrots, radishes, lettuce, kale, spinach, beets, and scallions. Pastured eggs and local Heiwa tofu will be available for purchase at CSA pick-up.
Please be sure to check the chalkboard and the wooden stand beside the cooler, as we have entered the part of the season where there will be large items and Pick-your-own crops in addition to your bags in the cooler. If you missed your cabbage last week please let us know!
