Adventist Community Service Announcements

1.  ACS Montana Disaster Response is working with the Montana VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) to see how we can respond during this pandemic.  Many of our volunteers are elderly and in high-risk groups, so we need to be innovative at the local level as to how we may be able to meet needs.  There are several local COADs (Community Organizations Active in Disaster) that are organized and may be involved.  Some of those are Gallatin County, Ravalli, and Missoula.  PLEASE let me know if any of our members are assisting with any pandemic-related activities.   ACS DR needs to report the hours you spend, or equipment you use, to FEMA, to track community involvement.

2.  One of the best ways to help in any disaster, including the current one, is to support local non-profit organizations with MONETARY contributions.  Please consider donating to your local food banks, homeless shelters, or through the ACS donations website  Some of our Conferences are responding to other disasters such as tornadoes which are happening in tandem to the Coronavirus health crisis.
3.  Our NAD ACS office is also collecting stories of how we are continuing to serve in spite of the challenges.  Please send me your stories so I can pass them on to our NAD leaders.

Thank you to all of you who are finding ways to SAFELY engage.
Please send your responses to

Ministry in Action throughout Montana

We are thrilled to share ways our Montana Adventist family is blessing others and staying connected.

Pathfinders Prepare and Deliver Care Packages - The Eastern Montana Explorers Pathfinder Club worked very hard to provide emergency packs for individuals who can't make it to the store. Click here for more!

Pastors Become YouTuber Chefs - Two pastors have done communion bread tutorials so everyone in their congregations is ready to participate in their communion services coming up. Communion bread and grape juice will be delivered to elderly members.

The Great Potato Give Away - A family had plenty of potatoes to share so they reached out to friends and a local organization to give over 2,000 potatoes away.

Mother's Room Fixer Upper - A local member decided this was the best time to go in and remodel her church's mother's room. She brought in new furniture and an activity table for the little ones to enjoy.

Children's Ministry - A weekly Primary class package includes a magazine, mission stories, lesson themed puzzles, coloring pages and a letter from the teacher. A Primary class, an Adventurer club and a Pathfinder club are holding video meetings for worship and lessons.

Web Design & Marketing Initiative - A church created the website with information on Coronavirus treatments as well as a link to bible studies. They've had over 15,871 visits as of April 2, 2020.

We are thankful for everyone's efforts to reach out to their communities amidst this chaotic time. We want to hear about the ways ministry is happening in your area. Please send us a brief report along with photos or short video clips to to share with our Montana Herald subscribers.

Adventurer Sabbath Held in Bozeman

Eager Adventurers, parents and club leaders bustled around on Sabbath, March 16, 2020, in the morning, preparing to minister to the congregation in providing the church service at the Bozeman Adventist Church.

Pathfinder Bible Experience Hosted in Ronan

Young people clad in khaki and black uniforms punctuated with yellow scarves filled the hallways of the Glacier Seventh-day Adventist church on February 29. Ignorant of the impending health crisis about to alter public events, the youth enjoyed meeting up with friends from across the Montana Conference for the annual Conference level Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE).

Sheltering in Him

"Family, friends, coworkers and neighbors — all the people that make up the fabric of my life are being impacted by this global pandemic. Never before have I had an opportunity to so universally relate to the world around me.."

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us."

1 John 5:14

Recent Praise and Prayer Request
"Had an awesome experience this morning! We had an inspection done on our house and found a problem with the furnace. The service guy came and fixed it and said he wouldn't charge us because it should have been caught and fixed when we did our yearly maintenance in October. Praise the Lord! He also said he would pray that we sell our house since this is a hard time to sell and that he has had many answers to his prayers!" C.G.
