We are reaching out with general updates with regards to the current situation.
Firstly, we want to reassure all of you that we are still operating in whatever capacities we can and ensuring that the service we have been running to date continues. To that respect we have been doing the following:
Running events and social groups remotely including the streaming of our usual yoga class online and using zoom meetings for GOLD older gents social groups and others.
Staff are continuing to work remotely and can be reached via email or phone.
Maintaining and developing our group chat systems so that service-users can continue to benefit from peer support and combatting isolation in the most vulnerable.
We've been referring people to appropriate services ensuring the most vulnerable in our community have access to essentials such as food, medication and sexual health supplies.
Developing our online Community Munster Gayze so that people from GBT+ men from across Munster can engage with out service.
In the buildup to Padraig's departure we have been planning for the interim period and crossover.
We've been filing and preparing for our external audits later this year.
At present there is a large scale national volunteering effort taking place to help us protect the most vulnerable in our society and in our communities throughout this period of uncertainty.
For those of you who'd like to get involved and support one/some of the many organisations who are in need of extra support at the moment find two documents below to provide guidelines on doing so in a way which is safe for you and for others.
