NAMI DeKalb Highlights Dr. Samuel Young with YoungLife Pharmacy

Dr. Samuel L. Young II is a native of Savannah, GA. He attended Xavier University of Louisiana School of Pharmacy, where he graduated Cum Laude in pursuit of his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. From there, he went on to start a pharmacy career with Rite Aid Pharmacy. In two years he was promoted to pharmacy manager, where he was the youngest pharmacy manager in the district. He held that position for 5 years. He knew he wanted to do more.

In 2015, he with a partner started an independent pharmacy. After 5 wonderful years of independently working together, the company was sold. Dr. Young  continued his passion for improving the health and wellness of his community, by opening his own independent pharmacy YoungLife Pharmacy.

Dr. Young is also adjunct faculty at Philadelphia College of Osteopathy and Medicine, where he established YoungLife Pharmacy as a preceptor site for young and eager pharmacy students. It is his mission and his motivation in life to serve the community and bring health awareness to the under-served population.

This year NAMI DeKalb will be participating in the Taste of Health 5k Walk/Run. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to NAMI DeKalb to help fund more activities for the community. We would greatly appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you all out there.
