The Co-Op at 1st
Call to Action!
Our Community Services are Needed More than Ever. We are Partnering with USDA and our Chefs to provide 100 Emergency Meals Per Day to our community members in need, can you help?
We just wanted to remind everyone how much we appreciate you during this time! We know there is an abundance of financial stress, uncertainty regarding work, and the struggle of managing illness or the possibility of becoming sick.
We at the Co-Op and Jovial Concepts are trying to not stress financially at this time, and instead focus on the wealth of community.
We are not currently hosting events or movement classes, and our tenants have been asked to only come in when necessary. This is having, and will continue to have, a huge impact on our little Co-Op.
Let's focus our energy on what we can do! We have caterers out of work, a commercial kitchen sitting unused, we have a lot of Community Partners, and our Market is still open!
We need you! We are planning to deliver groceries and ready-made meals to families in need within 7 miles of The Co-Op at 1st! We are looking for folks who have not traveled in the past 14 days and are not high risk or currently having symptoms to participate in cooking and distributing fresh meals and groceries to families in need. This is strictly volunteer work as we have no funds or budget for this unforeseen pandemic. We believe this is an opportunity to come together in times of great need and embody what The Co-Op really stands for.
If you have a cough, tightness in the chest, or fever, or have come in contact with anyone with these symptoms, or anyone that has traveled in the last two weeks, we please ask that you wait to offer your support until completing the CDC recommended quarantine time. We appreciate you, but our food will be going into senior centers, to families with disabilities, and to families with young kids who are high risk.
