Congratulations Dr Bentley!
3Ai's Research Fellow Dr Caitlin Bentley will be one of a select group of researchers participating in the UNESCAP-APRU-Google project “AI for social good” in 2019.
The AI for Social Good project is a collaboration between scholars, experts and policymakers who will explore questions on the potential economic and societal impacts for AI across the Asia Pacific.
3Ai's Director Genevieve Bell is confirmed to speak at Hopper Down Under this July.
Hopper Down Under is modeled on the AnitaB.org Grace Hopper Celebration, aimed to empower women technologists in the Asia-Pacific. It brings together women technologists at all levels, from undergraduate to CEO, along with members from industry leading companies, academia, and research, to build relationships, learn, and advance their careers.

In the future, both humans and machines will be critical decision-makers. What can we learn about the art of decision-making to inform how we build future technologies?
Dr Martin Parkinson, Secretary of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, will be visiting the institute as part of the 3Ai's Divergence series.

Brad Smith, Global President of Microsoft, visited the ANU at the invitation of 3Ai during a tour of Australia and New Zealand. Watch him present on the challenges and responsibilities of AI here.

JOIN THE REIMAGINE PROJECT
ANU is seeking to appoint three new School Directors who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) as a hub that will grow and inspire a new generation of creative thinkers.
The Ada Lovelace Institute is an independent research and deliberative body with a mission to ensure data and AI work for people and society.They are currently recruiting two Associate Directors and two Researchers to help deliver their ambitious aims.
