Hope Children's Center in Honduras

Many of our families chose Living Hope because of our mission--"To provide homes for children who need a future and to do it with a level of care & compassion that goes well beyond one’s expectations."  It is our great honor and pleasure to serve thousands of adopted children and families since 1994.  In order to assist children who do not qualify for formal adoption,  LHAA founders Samuel and Lily Fang started Living Hope International and Living Hope Global Ministries.  The three organizations work together to bring aid to orphans and needy children as well as providing mission work across the world.  We would like to share with you an amazing update about our Hope Children's Center in Honduras--

Last fall, we established our Hope Children’s Center, where we feed and care for orphans and extremely needy children in Langue, Honduras.  At present, we are building our dormitories that will provide lodging for our short-term mission teams, local pastors for pastoral training, women’s ministry training, and home for our onsite Pastor.  When completed, the dorm will provide lodging for 100 people.  Due to lack of water in the area, we have drilled a new well and this has increased the water output to 40 gallons per minute and greatly improved the quality of the water for our mission base facilities.   In the past few years, our short-term teams have provided medical missions, evangelizing teams to share the gospel, help local orphans and needy children, provide free medicine and medical services, food and clothing to families in need in Honduras.  To know more about the Hope Children's Center and the mission trips to Honduras, please contact Don Neimetz at dneimetz@livinghopeglobalministries.org.

LHAA Launched Bulgaria Adoption!

We are excited to announce that Living Hope has been approved to provide international adoption services from Bulgaria!  Living Hope currently partners with ANIDO Association, a licensed agency in Bulgaria who has been facilitating international adoption for over 15 years.

There is a great need for adoption in Bulgaria.  The majority of children waiting for international adoption are of Roma descent who are highly discriminated against in Eastern Europe and are less likely to be domestically adopted.

Overview of the Bulgaria Program:

  • Bulgaria is a beautiful country in Eastern Europe, and is a Hague Convention country where the Ministry of Justice oversees all adoptions in Bulgaria.
  • Wait time for a referral of a child varies based on the age and special needs of child.
  • Two trips are required to finalize the adoption in Bulgaria.  In the first trip, both prospective adoptive parents (if married) are required to travel to visit the child for 5 business days and sign a commitment letter to adopt the child;  in the second trip, only one parent needs to travel to Bulgaria for about two weeks to pick up the child, apply for the child’s passport, get the official medical exam and obtain the child’s U.S. visa.
  • Post-adoption reports are required at 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months after the adoption is finalized.

Waiting Children:

  • Children of either gender are eligible for adoption, and range in age from toddler to older child.
  • Children come from different ethnic groups and the majority of children available for adoption are of Roma descent.
  • Adoptees may be healthy or have various special needs.  Healthy older child or sibling groups can be considered as special needs adoption.
