Cooper is an adorable 5-year-old boy. He is described as resilient, smart, and easy going. He loves new experiences and the excitement of the unknown.
Cooper participated in Living Hope's 2016 Winter Hosting Program, and joined his forever family, the Hostert family, in October 2017. At the time of the adoption, Cooper was diagnosed with developmental delay and abnormal liver function. After returning home, with many medical evaluations and testing, Cooper was found to have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Receiving Cooper’s diagnosis and knowing that it was a terminal illness was difficult for the family. Because Cooper’s particular form of muscular dystrophy has never been seen before, the family also worries about not knowing when Cooper’s health will turn to the point of immobility.
The Hosterts love Cooper and are dedicated to providing him with the very best life possible. They are thankful that Cooper has found his way to their family and they look forward to giving him the best life he can have.
This summer, Cooper and his family had an incredible trip to Disney World through the Make-A-Wish Foundation where they had so much fun!
