This Saturday we will be heading to TCU in Fort Worth to compete with fellow PSIA students from across the state. Our students advancing to State have been working hard to prepare and will bring their best effort Saturday I have no doubt. Please keep our students in your prayers.

More information, including contestant schedules, for the students, and personnel schedules, for our volunteers, will be available by Thursday. Please ask your child for these documents. It is very important that volunteers fulfill their areas of responsibility so the school does not lose points. Please check your time and locations for the day and ask questions if you are unsure.
I apologize for any confusion regarding no school yesterday. This date was not on our original calendar but was added a month ago. The change was in the newsletter and on the website.
Have a great week.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wyles

Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance notifications will be sent this week for families whose application was submitted on time, and is verified, and who are current on all financial obligations.
If you do not hear from me by Friday, and believe that you should have, please call Ms. Giannotti.
Tuition Assistance applications for the 22-23 school year were due on April 14th for current families. If you missed this deadline, late applications will still be considered only after the first tuition payment has been made for the 22-23 school year.
Those who received tuition assistance for the 21-22 school year, please note that there is still time to raise money for the tuition assistance fund. Walking for Education pledges are being collected through May 6th.
Please reach out to Ms. Giannotti with any questions at mgiannotti@stmarys-temple.org.
Our goal is to help all our families who are in need, but that is only possible when families do their part to help the process.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wyles

May Crowning
During the month of May – a month named for and dedicated to Mary – St. Mary’s Catholic School traditionally honors Mary with a special May Crowning ceremony. This year Mya Williams, grade 8, will have the honor of crowning Mary, with the help of representatives from grades 3-7.
On Friday, the 6th of May, at 9:00 a.m., all students are invited to bring flowers to honor Mary. Students will gather outside at the grotto placing their flowers, with assistance, around our Blessed Mother, followed by the crowning of Mary. Please join us if you can.

Sports Awards
We are making changes to our Sports Awards this year. To ensure that all students can be present, and have their peers present, we will hold the awards during lunch time 12:30 on May 10th. Parents are invited to attend if they are free. We will be handing out the participation certificates and recognize all students who have represented St. Mary’s Catholic School sports.
