In April

I am grateful

To exist

As I am

It saddens me that there are times when I don’t want to.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t considerably pumped about it being April because this is my birth month and I can already feel the glow settling in as this 25 day countdown begins. Honestly though, every first of the month is something I genuinely look forward to because it marks a fresh mental canvas as I focus on a new intention area in my life. For April, I am focusing on gratitude because it’s simple, yet complex. Full of layers; trials and tribulations; contentment and complacency; survival and growth.
This month, I’m using a daily worksheet to build mindfulness and persistence into my everyday routine. If you want to try this out with me, download/print a blank worksheet. Fill in the first column of the worksheet today, use the middle column for jotting down notes throughout the month, and fill out the last column at the end of the month as you reflect on how the last 30ish days went. Rinse and repeat for each month with a new intention area to keep yourself growing and glowing.

On the blog: an interview with Finding Novyon on growth & persistence “...A few weeks back, I had the pleasure of catching up with an old friend from childhood. Oh, the Brooklyn Park days circa early 2000’s, what a time to be alive...” Read more on how the law of attraction has allowed Novyon to grow and take risks here.

Some people might see the title of this playlist and assume it’s too aggressive, but I consider it a self-love seranade so excuuuuse meee. As Ru Paul always says, “if you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” Step one: stop fucking with haters. I’ve been curating this playlist through the last year while pushing myself to truly embrace my truth. DJMeeks worked his magic and sequenced the playlist so it flows like fire. Buckle up, bump the volume and enjoy.
