“I have never seen our students so captivated in an assembly.  Scott’s testimony and his talent resonated with them, and we are grateful for his ministry.
Jennilee Miller – Immanuel Christian School
We so enjoyed Scott’s visit.  Many parents told me that their kids couldn't stop talking about it!”
Martha Herndon – Capitol Hill Learning Group
As I stood in the back of the chapel after leading worship and sharing the Gospel at Grace Brethren Christian School in Maryland, a long line of students from this almost entirely African-American school came up to take photos, ask me questions, and thank me for visiting their school.
A teenage girl named Layla told me about her YouTube channel which encourages young girls to reach for their dreams and said that my story on American Idol was a big part of why she started it!
But what I heard later from the P.E. teacher blew me away:
Usually, when speakers of my skin color come to lead chapel, the kids don't engage with them.  But during my presentation, everyone was worshipping, clapping, dancing, and listening when I spoke.
Just minutes earlier during the chapel, a student of about 12 years old had stood up and asked in front of the entire school if I had ever been bullied as a kid.  I told him, “No matter what your friends say about you, God says you are remarkable!”
The more I interact with and minister to students of different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs, the more I am convinced that God has uniquely positioned me, as a blind man unable to see skin color, clothing, or scars, to step past the surface and speak truth into people’s hearts.
This month, we have shared the Gospel with nearly 1,000 students in Arizona, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC, and because of your prayers and generous financial support, students are letting down their guards, asking hard questions, and encountering Jesus in new ways, some for the very first time!
We were made to worship God, and so often music can go where words alone cannot.  Thank you for helping us share the Gospel through music and the arts.
"Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world."
- Isaiah 12:5 NIV
