February Fundraiser!
Show Your Love for SEM during the 28 Day PTSA No Fuss Fundraiser!

2018-2019 SEM PTSA Fundraising Goal: $15,000!
That averages to $30 per student!

Our students are attending one of the most honored and highest ranked schools in DISD and the nation! It is the mission of the SEM PTSA to enrich and enhance SEM resources and support our one-of-a-kind math and engineering program! We don't invest in overpriced and low margin gimmick fundraisers! Instead we have started our once-a-year check writing campaign.

What does your contribution go towards this year?
Student supplies and materials and also helps us fund the PTSA operating budget that provides programs and events for our SEM Community.

Please think of donating on behalf of another family if possible.

The Contest focuses on how STEM can be applied to help improve your community. They were selected as a State Winner in the 2018-2019 Samsung Solve for Tomorrow contest and won the school $20,000 in technology and classroom supplies. These students are now competing to become National Finalists in the next phase of the competition by working on a Silent Alarm System for school shootings.

SEM Super Debaters!

Juan Diaz and Sophie Rahman won the first inaugural Roland Parrish Scholarship Debate on January 29, 2019 at James Madison High School. They successfully convinced three judges that America's electoral college system ought to be abandoned in favor of a popular vote. Both debaters will win $5,000 in scholarship prizes from Mr. Parrish, in partnership with DISD. Congratulations to our colleagues from Irma Rangel, who won second place. To qualify, Juan and Sophie were the first place team at the Dallas Fall City Championship.
