Our Lady Queen of Angles (La Placita), Los Angeles brings Called to Renew to the Community!
This past week, Fr. Arturo Corral and his Campaign Executive Committee hosted two receptions to share the goals of
Called to Renew to their fellow parishioners. Committee members reflected on the importance of the Campaign in their lives, and everyone feasted on tacos and fresh salad. More than 80 people attended and committed $85,000. The team at La Placita is striving to reach 100% of goal before their Commitment Weekends takes place in three weeks time.
Sacred Heart in Pomona raises more than $100,000 this week!
Fr. Alberto Arreola and Fr. Francisco at had a busy week collecting more than $195,000 in pledges. Their continued support of the Campaign at Mass has increased community support. Sacred Heart is raising money through
Called to Renew to expand and repave their parking lot to accommodate their growing community.
Santa Isabel in Los Angeles achieves its Campaign target!
Santa Isabel surpassed their goal this week by raising $41,100, from 10 pledges. The parish has now raised $245,700, 111% of their goal from 42 gifts. Fr. Jesus Herrera is excited to announce the news that 100% of anything collected above the Campaign target will stay at the parish for further local improvements. Santa Isabel will host its first reception this Sunday and is praying for a good turnout keep their momentum going.
St. Cecilia's ministries are gathering to give!
This week, Fr. Roman Arzate received more than $23,000 in pledges from ministry groups at St. Cecilia in Los Angeles. Ministry leaders are taking initiative and gathering their members to share more about the Campaign and their plans to restore the parish roof. Congratulations to St. Cecilia for having such an engaged and supportive community!
San Antonio de Padua achieves 91% of goal!
Congratulations to San Antonio de Padua in Boyle Heights for reaching 91% of goal this week! The parish has now raised $81,900 of their $90,000 goal from 39 gifts. Fr. Gustavo Joaquin Ramon and members of his Campaign Executive Committee received 14 gifts this past Sunday after an announcement was made at Mass about the Campaign. With several weeks remaining before Commitment Weekend, the Campaign Office is excited to witness the successful conclusion of San Antonio de Padua's campaign. Fr. Gustavo looks forward to initiating parish projects like painting the parish and fixing the parking lot using campaign funds.

Our Lady of Lourdes in Tujunga celebrated
Called to Renew achieving 50% of the Campaign's $500 million goal. Fr. Rolly Astudillo invited all of the Campaign Ambassadors and Campaign donors to the rectory on Monday for a night of thanks, congratulatory salutes, and heart-warming stories! Lucia Campbell is a long-time parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes, who shared that she was originally apprehensive to become a Campaign Ambassador. However, her active participation changed her perception. In her testament, she expressed her love of the church and how the role helped her get out of her shell and visit with fellow parishioners. Lucia said that she feels strongly that the community is being strengthened by this Campaign. See a picture of the team below!
Renovations begin at St. Kevin Catholic Church!
Thanks to early Campaign success and active participation, roof renovations are underway at St. Kevin in Los Angeles. This is the first of many projects that Fr. Percy Bacani hopes to complete with funds from
Called to Renew. Up next on St. Kevin’s local case for support is renovation of the parish hall flooring. Keep up the great work!
