Thank You

I do not cease giving thanks for you,
remembering you in my prayers,
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give you a spirit of wisdom
and revelation resulting in knowledge of him.
Ephesians 1:16-17

This week, we surpassed our Wave 2 goal (103%) for the Called to Renew campaign. Thank you for making our Catholic community a place full of light and love. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for your support and generosity.

Gracias

Efesios 1:16-17

St. Maximilian Kolbe in Westlake Village raises $180,000 this week!
Congratulations to Msgr. Paul Albee and the parish community at St. Maximilian Kolbe in Westlake Village for raising more than $180,000 this week! The Campaign Ambassadors remain fully committed and gathered after Masses to show parishioners the Called to Renew Campaign video (see picture below). The parish has now raised $975,150, or 82% of its assigned goal. The funds collected will help the parish maintain its current building and enhance the worship experience with new lighting and church improvements. We wish St. Maximillian the best of luck as the parish prepares for Commitment Weekend on December 7-8!

Sacred Heart raises more than $200,000 during first Commitment Weekend!
Congratulations to Fr. Aloysius Ezeonyeka at Sacred Heart in Ventura for a successful Commitment Weekend. Fr. Aloysius raised $202,790, bringing Sacred Heart’s total raised to $1,606,070 or 169% of their $950,000 goal! Fr. Aloysius and the Campaign Executive Committee (CEC) are thankful for the generosity of the families at Sacred Heart. With the Campaign funds, the parish will build the Friendship Corner/Hospitality Center as well as bathrooms for the parish. They will also establish a scholarship fund to help families send their children to the parish school. Special thanks to Katie Basamanowicz, the Campaign Co-Chair, for making herself readily available to meet the needs of the Campaign and the CEC. Sacred Heart is looking forward to another successful weekend December 7-8. Keep up the great work – we are praying for you!

Padre Serra in Camarillo celebrates surpassing the enhanced campaign goal!
Fr. Patrick Mullen and the Campaign Executive Committee (CEC) at Padre Serra in Camarillo hosted a wonderful reception that raised $143,801 last week! With these additional gifts, the parish has now raised $2,699,412, surpassing their enhanced goal of $2,600,000. Families that attended the Called to Renew reception responded with great excitement for the expansion projects described in Padre Serra’s local case. These projects include a Youth and Young Adult Center as well as a new choir room. Fr. Patrick and the CEC will be hosting two more receptions in December to ensure that all families receive an invitation and opportunity to participate in a campaign that will benefit the youth and liturgy at Padre Serra for generations to come. Keep up the great work!

Parish Ambassadors from St. Maximilian Kolbe in Westlake Village gathered after Mass to spread news about the Campaign to other parishioners.
