Engaging Ministry Groups

One of the missions of Called to Renew is to reach out to every parish family to invite their participation in the Campaign. A great way to involve active families is to engage parish ministry groups.

For members of ministry groups, the parish is very important well beyond Sunday Mass - it is a home to gather, pray, and share their lives with others. Ministry groups bring parishioners together to unite in their faith and love of their parish. Parishioners in these groups experience the parish as a place that provides; therefore, they can best understand its needs.

We encourage hosting Called to Renew presentations at ministry groups meetings to share the vision of the Campaign and ask for members’ individual support.

Prayer for Generosity - St. Ignatius of Loyola

As more parishes embark on Commitment Weekend,
let us say a prayer for generosity:

Eternal Word, only begotten Son of God,
Teach me true generosity.
Teach me to serve you as you deserve.
To give without counting the cost,
To fight heedless of wounds,
To labor without seeking rest,
To sacrifice myself without thought of any reward
Save the knowledge that I have done your will.
Amen.
