We renew what we treasure...

With Commitment Weekends around the corner, many parishes are playing our Called to Renew video during Mass. This video exemplifies the purpose of the Campaign – “sacrifice is how we show love.” The Campaign asks each family to consider a sacrifice to preserve what is important, to keep what matters, and to pass on what will endure. The video is a powerful illustration of what the Church means to all of us – a place to call home.

Called to Renew seeks to bring hope to our communities by investing in the future of our Church. The second half of the video purposefully explains how the Campaign funds will be used and how they will impact our lives and the lives of those around us. We encourage all parishes to show the video during Mass, so families can visualize the significance of the Campaign. When answering the call to renew, we want parishioners to respond “YES”!

Three parishes prepare for Commitment Weekend

We send our best wishes to Mission San Buenaventura, San Antonio de Padua, and St. Bernadette as they embark on the first of two Commitment Weekends. All three parishes have done a tremendous job and have exceeded their standard Campaign goals. We are very thankful for the parish leadership and volunteers who are carrying out this endeavor with open hearts. We look forward to sharing the results with everyone next week!

Our Lady of Guadalupe (Rose Hill) breaks $200,000!

Our Lady of Guadalupe (Rose Hill) in Los Angeles crossed the $200,000 mark this week! To date, Our Lady of Guadalupe has raised $201,910, or 75% of their goal. Fr. Nelson Trinidad, Dcn. Tom Bradlin, and the Campaign Executive Committee (CEC) are grateful to the 45 families who have already committed to the Campaign. With Commitment Weekend in two weeks and receptions after every Mass this weekend, Fr. Nelson is praying not only to reach their goal, but go above and beyond their goal!

Santa Isabel aims for 100% participation!

Santa Isabel in Los Angeles is currently at 145% of goal and is maintaining their success. The Campaign Executive Committee (CEC) and additional Ambassadors will be setting up an informational booth outside of Mass this weekend to give all parishioners the opportunity to learn more about the Campaign and prayerfully consider making a pledge. Fr. Jesus Herrera appreciates the enthusiastic response from parishioners and strives for 100% participation from his parishioners. We wish the CEC and Ambassadors success this weekend!

St. Mary in Palmdale finds success in bible study group!

Jesus Nazareno is a Spanish-speaking prayer group that meets weekly at St. Mary’s Church in Palmdale. Over 50 families gather, some of whom drive over an hour to attend, and the meetings are filled with live music, guest speakers, and a family-friendly atmosphere. This week, Fr. Vaughn Winters, Dcn. Elvys Perez, and parishioner Irma Rodriguez spoke at the gathering to discuss Called to Renew and how important the Campaign will be to the future of St. Mary’s. By the end of the night, St. Mary’s had raised $25,000! Congratulations, Fr. Vaughn and the group!

St. Vincent de Paul brings the Campaign message to Mass!

This weekend, members of the St. Vincent de Paul Campaign Executive Committee (CEC) will give personal testimonials during all six Sunday Masses, sharing their support for the Campaign. The CEC will also be offering information about the Campaign after Mass and inviting families to the Campaign Dinner, which will take place the following Saturday. We thank the parishioners at St. Vincent de Paul for sharing their stories and their dedication to the Campaign!
Campaign Progress Updates

The Called to Renew Campaign is experiencing great success! These numbers are updated as of 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 26.

To date, the Campaign has raised $256,117,686 of the Campaign goal. Listed below is the progress of our Pilot and Wave 1 Parish campaigns.
Campaign Collateral

Visual representation of Called to Renew goes beyond the video. Parish Campaign Directors have provided each parish with posters and banners to be hung throughout the Church grounds. It is important that parishioners recognize the Campaign logo and understand what it signifies.

Please be sure to have Campaign materials visible for everyone to see. Tie the banner up on the fence, stick the posters in the vestibule, proudly display your Campaign thermometer in the sanctuary to show to promise of renewal and your commitment to the Campaign.
