Wave 1 reaches 109% of goal!

We are excited to announce that we have officially surpassed our Wave 1 goal! Thank you to everyone for your hard work on this achievement!

It is through your dedication to Called to Renew that will allow each parish in the Archdiocese to shine with a renewed light.

We are grateful for the Campaign team at Sacred Heart in Pomona for this powerful video of what Called to Renew means to their parish. The Campaign asks us to be an ambassador for our parish, to care for it and maintain it like we would our own home, “because my church is my second home.”

San Antonio de Padua reaches 222% of their campaign goal!

Congratulations to San Antonio de Padua in Boyle Heights for raising 222% of their Campaign goal! Father Gustavo Joaquin Ramon received a gift of $25,000 this week from a generous family that has been a part of the parish community for many years. The parish has now raised $200,155 from 108 gifts! San Antonio de Padua will use Campaign funds to paint the church and renovate the parking lot. In addition to these projects, the parish has been granted a portion of the funding allocation from the Archdiocese to begin further projects such as renovating the church ceiling. Congratulations to Fr. Gustavo and his Campaign Executive Committee for all their hard work and success during the Campaign. We are looking forward to seeing the result of all the renovations at San Antonio de Padua! 

St. Stephen Martyr in Monterey Park reaches goal!

Congratulations to St. Stephen Martyr in Monterey Park for reaching 100% of goal! With the funds from Called to Renew, St. Stephen Martyr plans to renovate the parish, make adjustments to their sound system, install security cameras, replace their fence, and add a wheelchair ramp. St. Stephen Martyr feels blessed to have received a portion of the recent funding allocation to assist with additional projects beyond their case! We are excited for you to begin these transformational projects! 

Santa Isabel in Los Angeles closes out the Campaign at 220% of the goal!

Congratulations to Santa Isabel in Los Angeles for raising a grand total of $483,260 from 154 pledges, or 220% of goal, to address much-needed repairs at the parish! Fr. Jesus Herrera is overjoyed with the results of the Campaign and is grateful for the support of the dedicated volunteers. Fr. Jesus began the Campaign with doubts, but he knew that he could put his faith in the Campaign plan. After some prayer and reflection, Fr. Jesus cancelled non-essential meetings and cleared his calendar to dedicate specific days to the Campaign. His hard work inspired the parishioners of Santa Isabel, who responded to the call with a resounding, “Yes!”.  

Our Lady of Guadalupe in Santa Paula Exceeds their Goal!

Congratulations to Fr. Thomas Dome at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Santa Paula for raising $471,000 this week! Our Lady of Guadalupe has raised $753,968 to date, which is 162% of their goal. Fr. Thomas is looking forward to celebrating Commitment Weekend this weekend and sharing Called to Renew with the entire parish community. A special thank you to Elvia Hernandez and the Campaign Executive Committee for their endless support, positivity, and hard work. Our Lady of Guadalupe is excited to begin their projects, particularly the renovation of their parish hall. We are praying for your success!

Our Lady of Guadalupe – Los Angeles goes over goal!

Our Lady of Guadalupe in Los Angeles raised $48,530 from 29 pledges to reach a total of $276,280, which is 105% over goal after its first Commitment Weekend. Fr. Nelson Trinidad and Campaign Executive Committee are grateful to the 86 families who contributed to the success of the Called to Renew Campaign! The parish is looking forward to using the funds to improve the facilities and beautify the altar. Fr. Nelson spoke about the history of the parish during Commitment Weekend and how the parish would not exist if it were not for the generosity of past parishioners. The message rang clear and true through the hearts of parishioners, who responded by propelling Our Lady of Guadalupe over goal. 

Mary Star of The Sea in Oxnard exceeds $1,000,000!

Congratulations to Fr. Felix Daganta at Mary Star of the Sea in Oxnard on a successful Commitment Weekend! Mary Star of the Sea raised $494,000 over the weekend, bringing their total raised to $1,107,800 which is 182% of their $610,00 goal! Thank you to the ushers, the Campaign Executive Committee, and Campaign Ambassadors for all of your help throughout the Campaign and especially this past weekend. The parish is overjoyed by the generosity of their community and look forward to sharing more successes during second Commitment Weekend!

Our Lady of Lourdes in Tujunga has a successful commitment weekend!

Congratulations to Fr. Rolly Astudillo and the hardworking volunteers at Our Lady of Lourdes brought in 85 gifts this week from their Commitment Weekend. In total, Our Lady of Lourdes raised $137,470 to bring their total to $861,920 or 125% of their assigned goal. The parish will be hosting another Commitment Weekend, as well as a reception for its spanish-speaking parishioners on Sunday night. We look forward to celebrating more successes to come! 

Fr. Roman Arzate’s reception at St. Cecilia was a success!

Nearly 30 families attended a reception at St. Cecilia in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 11. Fr. Roman Arzate explained the campaign clearly and enthusiastically to his parishioners, providing personal anecdotes and examples of how the campaign will benefit the community and future priests in the Archdiocese. The parish has now raised $232,975 from 164 gifts, or 42% of their Campaign goal. This Sunday, May 19, Fr. Roman will be hosting his first Commitment Weekend with the help of his Campaign Executive Committee. 

St. Didacus in Sylmar breaks $700,000!

Thank you to Fr. Bob Garon and the hardworking volunteers at St. Didacus who brought in 17 gifts this week to push their total raised to $705,655. Thank you to the entire Campaign team at St. Didacus, including the Ambassadors as well as Fr. Norm Supancheck and Fr. Arturo Valadez! The team is on a mission to share Called to Renew with their community through continued personal visits and receptions. We look forward to celebrating more successes to come!
