The Importance of Volunteers

Volunteers have been crucial to the success of the Called to Renew Campaign. Over the last three Waves, thousands of volunteers have stepped forward to lead the charge to help renew their parishes, help their fellow Catholic brothers and sisters in need, and prepare the Catholic Church for future generations.

The Campaign Executive Committee (CEC) Co-Chairs are often times one of the first to sign up to help their pastor with the Campaign efforts. The Co-Chairs are instrumental throughout the Campaign by helping organize and communicate with the rest of the CEC. They are cheerleaders for the Campaign, setting an example by being the first to make their pledge to the Campaign and further cheering on others as they make theirs.

In addition, the Called to Renew Campaign would not be as successful without the hard work and dedication of Campaign Ambassadors. Ambassadors are conducive in attending weekly meetings, giving testimonials at weekend masses, and visiting with other parishioners to spread the message of the Campaign. Some Ambassadors go above and beyond what is asked of them, such as the superstar tag team of Pat Horamburg and Teresa Reyes at St. Kateri Tekakwitha. This team of two made hundreds of phone calls and visited dozens of families to help St. Kateri go over their $2.5 million goal.

There is no question that a committed group of people can come together and accomplish remarkable goals. Thanks to the thousands of helpful volunteers throughout all Waves, the Called to Renew Campaign went over the $350 million milestone just this last week. Thank you for your commitment and help!
