NOVEMBER 15, 2018

Come to the church tomorrow night at 7:00 PM to watch "War Room" and spend time with other women in the church. We'll be down in the Solid Rock youth building.

Due to bad weather, we will not be going on our community outreach trip this weekend. But stay posted, because we're working to reschedule the trip for a better day!

Join us this Sunday, November 18, as we celebrate all God's blessings. After the service, the deaconesses will serve a Thanksgiving Lunch. If you would like to come, please let us know.

Want to keep Sunday's lessons fresh in your mind throughout the week?

Each Monday, we'll have a new story on Instagram featuring something to remember from Sunday morning.

Take a screenshot of the post, save it as your lockscreen wallpaper and BOOM ... you've got what you learned right in front of you all week long!

From Our Church Leadership

Mark Jamison | Head Deacon

Given what we have learned this year about being a member of the body of Christ and a member of Dulin's Grove Church, I encourage you all to make contact with a brother or sister in Christ on a regular basis - apart from seeing them on Sunday mornings. Give them a call, send a text, mail a card or a letter, or even pay them a visit.

Let's encourage one another with these contacts and ask how we may pray for and lift each other up. I feel that Pastor Matt has given us clear teaching of God's Word as it relates to being in fellowship with our brothers and sisters. Now, let us put these teachings into action.

Scripture of the Day

2 Corinthians 6:17: "Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you."

Hebrews 10:22

What Hebrews 10:22 Has to Say About Drawing Near to God

What is keeping you from drawing near to God? Is it that you don't know how to act properly, or don't believe fully, or feel guilty and ashamed about something that's been done in your past? Be assured that God wants you to draw near to Him just like that - with a true, honest heart, in full assurance of faith, and with a clean conscience and life.

Using Sorrow to Fight Pornography

"For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death" (2 Corinthians 7:10, ESV). God’s grace, offered through Jesus Christ, can transform your response to your sin. That’s the big idea of this next chapter of Finally Free. Rather than feeling worldly sorrow, you can begin to feel godly sorrow. “Worldly sorrow is concerned about losing stuff … while the focus of godly sorrow is God himself” (pp. 34-35).
