SBSC Junior member Aurelia Martin proudly shows off her medal as first crew in the Tasar fleet at the recent Australian Sailing “Sail Country regatta” with 200 boats on Lake Hume in Albury/Wodonga. She sailed with James Sly who will be the school's sailing coach when she goes to St Leonards College in 2020. She was really excited to win and looks forward to renewing James’s Acquaintance when she gets to secondary school.

An update from our Vice Commodore...

We are now a month into the season and what a great start it’s been. Great wind in general and good numbers on and off the water.

With a few committee meetings under the belt, much has been planned which we can now report to members on. As mentioned at the season opening, I touched upon the exciting news of new carpet for the club. This has been welcome news and particularly pleasing is the fact that the Shire are coming to the party and replacing...

Fun and frivolity across the bay...

A great time was had by the four boats that joined in the Melbourne Cup Day Weekend Cruise. Weather forecast wasn't the best but we braved it anyway. We started with strong winds almost on the nose on the way to Queenscliff but some good sailing was done.

Arrived Saturday afternoon and we all enjoyed a curry night on Summer Lovin' with Etoile and Lady Cassandra. Sunday gave us a great sunny day and a walk was on the agenda to Pt Lonsdale where lunch and a few beverages were consumed, a walk back to boats then drinks and nibbles aboard Lady Cassandra and off to the Brewhouse for ...

Didn’t quite get a finish on Friday night but possibly one of the best sunsets made for an amazing evening on the water! Patriot & Maverick raced to Stanley on the long weekend and Jason Close from Patriot recalls the event. Barry Tanner regales the SBSC cruise to Queenscliff.

Enter the Blairgowrie Petersville Regatta!

Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron (BYS) is excited to again host the Petersville Regatta for 2018. The Petersville Regatta attracts keelboat owners from surrounding yacht clubs and as Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron will be supporting Sail Peninsula in 2019, let's supports them by sending a fleet of SBSC members in 2018!

The Petersville Regatta is a ‘spectacular event’ and the ‘social highlight’ of the festive season.BYS welcomes all keel boat skippers and crews to participate in a terrific tradition.
