Hey there,

My apologies, somehow I managed to skip copying the Mobile Security section from where I wrote it on the blog to the newsletter.

Big thanks to Will Chilcutt for informing me of my omission.

The section has been live here: https://tldrsec.com/blog/tldr-sec-086/#mobile-security and here are the links for your easy consuming:

Mobile Security

Introducing Security By Design
Google’s Jon Markoff and Sean Smith announce new courses on the Google Play Academy for teaching you how to add security to your app development lifecycle and how to use Android’s built-in security features.

Mobile Systems and Smartphone Security
Former EURECOM professor Yanick Fratantonio released his course’s slides, recordings, and even hands-on reversing and exploitation challenges. I haven’t fully reviewed the materials yet, but I’d guess this is probably one of the best mobile security resources out there right now, and it’s free!

majd/ipatool
A command-line tool that allows searching and downloading app packages (ipa files) from the iOS App Store, by Majd Alfhaily.

Thanks for reading!

Cheers,
Clint
