Race 1: AUSTRALIAN DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP SEPTEMBER 17 PACE
AMERICAN BEAUTY (2) was a winner first up from a spell last start when she defeated OHOKA AGENT by 11.2 metres. She should be very hard to beat against this field.
MAJOR LINCOLN (7) is going for three wins in a row but experiences a minor step up in class and will find it hard from gate 7.
KAHINA (4) and HESTON BLUE STREAK (1) are also chances.
Race 2: ECO-WISE PLUMBING GROUP PACE
TICK TOCK GO (1) was a last start winner when she defeated LOU LOU QUICK by 4.8 metres. If she can repeat that run she is going to be hard to beat from the inside draw.
WHOEE JOHNSON (8), ROCKING WITH CHARM (6) and SUNFINE (4) are also chances.
Race 3: TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE
STEAM CLEANED (5) experiences a minor step down in class. If he can produce his best run against this field he is going to be dangerous.
MAJOR MAD (4), STAR WRITER (6) and PREMONITION (2) are also chances.
Race 4: TAB VENUE MODE TROTTERS HANDICAP
BARHOON (8) has won two of her last three starts. She defeated OUR SPITFIRE by a head last start. She has recently changed stables and has her first start for Lane Johnson tonight. She will be hard to beat if she brings her best fun.
OUR SPITFIRE (5) has been racing consistently recently and looks like a major chance tonight.
KYVALLEY SURFERGIRL (1) and MAKE MINE MUSCLE (7) are also chances.

SECRET OPERATION (6) was an impressive winner last start when he defeated AMORE ROCK by 1.5 metres running a slick time of 1.56.8. He looks dangerous tonight.
MORNINGSTAR GOLD (7) has been racing consistently and looks like a major chance tonight.
RUTHLESS ARMBRO (5) and SIR ROMAN (4) are also chances.

WHISTLE ON BY (5) returns from a break tonight. If she can produce some of her runs from last preparation she should be too good for this field.

STAR WRITER (3) has been working himself closer to a win over his recent starts. He has a favourable draw and looks like a strong chance.

Race 2: K & S ELECTRICAL PACE
JACK BRONSKI (2) has been winning at the trials and has been showing some impressive signs for trainer Gary Hill. He makes his debut today and looks like a chance if he can replicate some of his trial form.
TRAILBLAZER (6), PLUTUS (4) and CHARLIE DEE (5) are also chances.
Race 3: NORTH EAST GROUP PACE
ALAKAZAM (7) looks dangerous first up from a spell. He accumulated a few wins during his last preparation. If he can bring his best run he will be a big chance against this field.
CASSIUS (6) could be an improver today against this field. It may pay to watch his market moves.
BETTOR BEONTOIT (5) and SPRING DELIGHT (4) are also chances.
Race 4: VISS WATER TROTTERS MOBILE
GRAYWOODS DIAMOND (2) is a good chance of finding the lead early. He is a good beginner from the mobile draw and looks like a strong chance today.
HESANAVENGER (3) was a last start winner when he defeated BALMORAL HALL by 7.6 metres. His mobile start draw is good and looks like a strong chance again today.
IRENE ROSE (7) and BALMORAL HALL (4) are also chances,
Race 5: BIANCO REINFORCING PACE
PEBBLESONTHEBEACH (3) returns from a spell after nearly 9 months off. Her trial form has been solid. She looks like a strong chance against this field.
NIGHTWATCHMAN (1) returned to the winners list last start and looks dangerous off the inside draw.
ILLAWONG KIM (7) and WESAIDSO (2) are also chances.
Race 6: VALE BILLY BOOTH PACE
VILLANELLE (9) was a winner last start when she defeated HILLTOP BREEZE by a head. If she can lob into a nice position during the run she should be able to run over the top.
IM REGGIE (3) should be able to find the front early.
CELESTIAL ZODIAC (6) and HILLTOP BREEZE (5) are also chances.
Race 7: TAB LIVE SKY RACING VISION PACE
SUTTER MAN (9) has been running well without winning. Today is an easier field for him. He looks like a big danger.

Trainers are alerted to the appointment of James Short as an Assistant Starter. James continues his training for this important role.
An aspect of this role which will receive greater scruntiny of the gear in which horses are presented to race.
Trainers are reminded of the relevant Rules relating to gear and the presentation of horses to race. Where the gear is incorrect without an adequate reason, consequences will result.
HR 273. (1) A person shall not use or permit the use of unapproved gear except with the permission of the Chairman of Stewards.
(2) A person shall not present to start or start a horse in a race in gear which in the opinion of the Stewards is:-
(a) Incorrectly fitted
(c) Of inferior quality
(d) In poor order or condition
(e) Of insufficient strength and quality to cope with the stresses likely to be imposed on it in a race.
(3) A person shall not without the permission of the Stewards start a horse in a race unless the horse is fitted with a false belly band and retaining straps and throat lash and a breast plate.
(4) A person shall not start a horse in a race fitted with any equipment or gear that covers and/or protrudes past the nostrils of the horse.
(5) A person shall not without the approval of the Stewards change the registered gear of a horse.
(6) A person shall not present to start or start in a race a horse that is:-
(a) not wearing the correct number;
(b) not wearing the gear that has been approved by the Stewards for that horse.
At a recent race meeting it was noted that post-race a horse was presented to the Swabbing Attendant in full (race) headgear and with a set of hopples draped over the body.
Trainers are advised that horses are required to be provided to the Swabbing Attendants fitted ONLY with a headcollar and a restraining device with the lead attached.
The Swabbing Attendants have been directed to refer Trainers not complying with the protocol to the Stewards.
