In 2019 Joke Frima took the initiative of founding AdA,
AdA serves as a framework for drawing and painting lessons on a non-profit basis.
Transfer of knowledge
"I would like to pass on my drawing and painting knowledge to the younger generations. Few practical lessons are given at the official institutes and that is why I founded the non-profit association AdA, Art d'Apprende, Art to Learn. There is a common misconception that you cannot learn drawing and painting and that talent alone is important. But learning to draw and paint is really possible! Standing on the shoulders of the old masters prevents you from reinventing the wheel. I myself was lucky enough to meet a very good master in Florence in 1976. I know from my own experience how well and effectively you can learn from a person who is a master in his field."

The master classes are concerned with the craft side of the visual arts drawing and painting. This knowledge as a skill serves as a tool for the artistic development of the artist and provides the fundamental basis for all visual arts.
