Transition of UnitedHealthcare Members to Presbyterian Health Plan

As you know, last week Presbyterian Health Plan announced it will acquire 85,000 Medicaid members insured under UnitedHealthcare of New Mexico. Under the agreement, the UnitedHealthcare members will transition to Presbyterian on September 1st.

Earlier this week, NMHCA and UnitedHealthcare hosted a conference call for members to discuss and ask any questions related to the transition of members.

Next week, on Tuesday, August 28th, at 2:00 pm, NMHCA and Presbyterian Health Plan are hosting a conference call for members to discuss and allow members to ask any questions related to the transition, contracting, and claims directly with Presbyterian Health Plan leadership. NMHCA 64th Annual Convention and Expo

The 64th Annual Convention and Exposition was held last week at the Isleta Resort and Casino. With more than 230 attendees registered and 48 vendors, it was a success in everyone's eyes. The education sessions were met with great reviews and feedback was that a great time was had.

If you would like copies of handouts from the education sessions, you can find them on our website at www.nmhca.org/Educationhandouts. Staff is still working on getting copies from everyone.

2018 Best of the Best

The Best of the Best is a statewide awards program sponsored by the New Mexico Health Care Association and New Mexico Center for Assisted Living. It coincides with the Association’s annual convention every August. This year, more than 100 caregivers were nominated in seven categories: Administrative Support, Resident Support, Direct Caregiver, Licensed Nurse, Manager, Nurse Manager, and Administrator of the Year.

Antimicrobial Stewardship Survey

CNA Conference Scholarships

As you may know, NMHCA received CMP funds to send ten CNAs to the national conference in Little Rock, Arkansas. Due to the interest, NMHCA sought to increase the CMP grant and was able to send eighteen CNAs to the National Association of Health Care Assistants CNA Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas!
