Exciting news! Your student is invited to join a once-in-a-lifetime international travel experience with their peers to Paris in Spring Break 2023!
Educational travel exposes students to new people, places, and cultures which in turn expands their knowledge of the world and their knowledge of themselves. It motivates them to learn new languages and excites them about the future. That’s why I’m thrilled to bring this opportunity to your family and our community.
This trip will fill up fast, so please join my informational meeting to learn:
How this opportunity will benefit your child
What we’ll see and do on our trip
Everything that’s included in this experience
How your child can earn academic credit
How we’re keeping this safe and affordable
How to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!)
Our meeting will be held on March 3, 2022 at 7 PM - there are limited spots available so don’t miss your opportunity to reserve your seat. One parent must be in attendance.

Our first contest is on March 5th at Madison HS, and we will have public performances at DeBakey March 23-26th at 7pm.

The DeBakey Orchestra program is indeed active and growing, attracting new members that may not realize we have a full music program. Students that are currently practicing a traditional orchestral, or band instrument, may wish to audition to be part of the DeBakey Symphony Orchestra, or Instrumental Ensemble.
At Tuesday night's PTO meeting, Miss Ortiz joined on as a guest speaker to discuss wraparound services that are available to all DeBakey students and their families. A wraparound resource specialist can provide students and their families with non-academic community resources. These resources include mental health, physical, health, basic needs, etc.
