Go Texan Day - Friday Feb 25
It's time to saddle up and celebrate one of our favorite times of the year — The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo — which officially kicks off Monday, Feb. 28!
Since the HLSR began in 1932, more than $550 million has been committed to Texas youth and education. This year, the HLSR has committed to awarding more than 800 educational scholarships totaling more than $14 million.
To recognize HLSR's many contributions in public education, join me in observing "Go Texan Day" on Friday, Feb. 25. All employees and students are encouraged to wear their favorite Western attire to work and school, take pictures, and post to social media using #GoTexanHISD.

Class of 2025 Movie Night Event - Sun. March 13
Paris: City Stay - Spring Break 2023
Exciting news! Your student is invited to join a once-in-a-lifetime international travel experience with their peers to Paris in Spring Break 2023!
Educational travel exposes students to new people, places, and cultures which in turn expands their knowledge of the world and their knowledge of themselves. It motivates them to learn new languages and excites them about the future. That’s why I’m thrilled to bring this opportunity to your family and our community.
This trip will fill up fast, so please join my informational meeting to learn:
How this opportunity will benefit your child
What we’ll see and do on our trip
Everything that’s included in this experience
How your child can earn academic credit
How we’re keeping this safe and affordable
How to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!)
Our meeting will be held on March 3, 2022 at 7 PM - there are limited spots available so don’t miss your opportunity to reserve your seat. One parent must be in attendance.
So that I can alert you of any changes to this meeting, you must register using this link: https://bit.ly/3LkcMW0
