Montage of photos of Hannah with friends and colleagues

I love connecting with people and developing collaborations. Over the last year I have established some fantastic working relationships with brilliant people in my network.

I have loved piloting the Regaining Your Mojo programme with Mandy and running taster sessions for Leading in Uncertainty with Audrey. It was great to team up with Bennie again in half-term to deliver our Diversity in Schools’ Masterclasses and we are spending a lot of time together bringing our #DiverseEd book together. Angie and I are now running multiple cohorts of our DEI Leadership programme together and we held Q&A with 100 interested parties during half-term too.

I am looking forward to co-hosting some #IWD2021 activity with my wing woman Isa.

I am constantly thinking about diversity and the leadership of diversity, equity and inclusion. Working with our 10 chapter editors and 100 contributors for the #DiverseEd book is a massive undertaking but Bennie and I are enjoying being a critical friend to each other to check our own privileges and biases. I co-host a termly Diversity Roundtable to bring together sector leads to align our strategies – we have a letter going to the DfE this month about our concerns about the lack of commitment to driving this agenda forwards. I have just finished hosting the final webcast for the #DiverseGovernance series of conversations exploring the why, the how and the what of diversifying school governance. I am also working with a number of ITTE stakeholders to challenge the lack of diversity in how we recruit and train early career teachers.

If you have not checked out our Diverse Educators’ website recently you can find out more about these developments.
