November has been an intense month as we navigate another national lockdown in the UK. I found this one easier as I am in a rhythm with my work and am enjoying working from home. I have noticed a significant increase in the number of people approaching me for coaching, an indication that the compassionate fatigue, along with the zoom fatigue, are taking their toll on us.

I have really enjoyed working with UCET and NASBTT this month, supporting Initial Teacher Training providers consider their commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. I ran a workshop on Celebrating Diversity in Education at the UCET conference for university-based providers. I was the opening keynote for the NASBTT national conference for school-based providers - this year’s theme was Compassion, Flexibility and Trust – 3 values that our schools really need right now.

I also delivered part one of a two part series for NASBTT on developing a mental health and wellbeing provision for all trainee teachers.

I am delighted to be working with lots of different women leaders in 1:1 and in small group coaching situations to support them on their leadership journeys. I have new coaching circles launching in January - if you are interested in a 3 month coaching commitment then please do get in touch.

I joined Vicki Maguire on the ‘We Lead Well’ podcast.

I have struggled to find the time and energy to write many blogs this term but it is a new #MonthlyWritingChallenge soon so I will sit down and commit my thoughts to paper for that. In the meanwhile I will loop back to an article I wrote at the start of the spring lockdown as it is as significant now as it was then.

Bennie, my friend, former Deputy Headteacher and Co-Founder of #DiverseEd has made me think this month as her book was published. If you missed her book launch exploring the need to Diversify the Curriculum I would recommend you watch it.

I am working with the national organisations responsible for Governance in curating a series of webcasts to spotlight the need for #DiverseGovernance. You can watch our first episode on YouTube.

I am really excited to be welcoming Associate Coaches to my website. They will all be contributing to some of my coaching contracts and leadership development programmes moving forwards.

I feel privileged to be working with Audrey, Cath, Isa, Julie and Mandy as we pilot the REAL: Woman leadership development programme.
