Bringing Clean and Safe Streets to All San Franciscans

San Francisco is facing a drug crisis of historic proportions. From open-air drug markets to those with substance abuse disorders suffering on our streets, evidence of the crisis is everywhere.

Enough is enough. This crisis has already claimed the lives of 2,000 San Franciscans, and we cannot continue to let it destroy our city. Our elected officials have a moral obligation to address this catastrophe, and it’s time for them to step up.

Join RescueSF and TogetherSF in taking action and send an email to your Supervisor and Mayor London Breed right now calling on them to close open-air drug markets, hold drug dealers accountable, and support recovery services for those suffering from addiction.

Important hearing on CARE Court for those
with severe mental illness

Join Supervisors Stefani, Dorsey, and Engardio at a hearing on San Francisco’s plans to implement the new statewide CARE Court.  CARE Court is a collaborative forum for helping those with severe mental illness to obtain treatment with a plan tailored for the individual.  San Francisco has several thousand unhoused persons with serious mental illness -- many also suffering from drug addiction.  CARE Court is a voluntary process that enables the individual to discuss their proposed care plan – with regular check-ins to ensure that it's enabling the individual's recovery.  More information including emails to send your supervisor to come.

San Francisco has become synonymous with open-air drug markets, increasing rates of fentanyl addiction, and daily overdose deaths. Our government’s failure to effectively respond to the drug crisis has led to visible suffering, violence, and addiction throughout the city. Our elected leaders have not only a moral obligation to fix this but also a pragmatic one. The drug crisis is at the heart of San Francisco’s dysfunction and we cannot continue to let it destroy our city.

At this event, TogetherSF will have subject matter experts explain how San Francisco got here and what we can do together to demand action and change. You will leave with a clear understanding of this crisis, and what you can do. Together, we will hold our elected officials accountable for delivering and executing a plan to end the open-air drug markets in San Francisco and address the drug crisis that is wreaking havoc on our city.
