We Wish You All the Best

The Hub Team and I would like to congratulate
Orville Andrews on a new role and relocation to Toronto!

Orville has accepted a position as Director of Learning Innovation and Technology at the Insurance Institute of Canada. January 10th 2020 will be his last day on campus and I know there will be many that would like to wish him well in his new professional leadership role. We certainly all wish him the very best and look forward to celebrating his long history of innovation and support at the College.

Please stop by the Hub and say bon voyage anytime or join us for a send-off in the Hub Classroom Friday January 10th from 1 to 2 pm.

Moodle & eGrades How-To Videos

Setting up your Winter 2020 course has never been easier thanks to the help of many tutorial videos we have available online.

  • Visit our Moodle page on our website for videos on adding sections, text, files, folders, quizzes, assignments, and much more.
  • Visit our Online eGrades Orientation page in Moodle for videos on navigating to eGrades, creating eGrades templates, copying templates, and (eventually) entering grades. You must click "Enrol Me" to access this page.

What is Your Teaching Philosophy?

Want to do some reflection over the holidays? Consider what your teaching philosophy is and take the Teaching Perspectives Inventory (TPI) to explore some more.

A teaching philosophy statement communicates:

  1. What your fundamental values and beliefs are about teaching and learning,
  2. Why you have these values and beliefs, and
  3. How you practice these values and beliefs in your everyday teaching and learning experience.
