As social-distancing measures have reduced our seminar schedule, we present the first of our seminar videos from last year's symposium. This week, we present the opening talk of Neuroscience Singapore 2019, Professor Hongyan Wang's great presentation on "Waking up "sleeping" neural stem cells."
We are also in the early stages of planning for this year's symposium. Please contact me if you have ideas for sessions you would like to see, or know of any potential sponsors (academic departments or vendors) who would like to sponsor the event.
Please see the list of the upcoming events below. The newly added talks and updates are in green.
After a long hiatus, we finally have a new event: Professor Gero Miesenböck will be giving a talk "Mechanisms for balancing sleep need and sleep" on Thursday, March 19 (details below).
Due to the COVID-19 situation, please check with event organizers if the events are being held as scheduled, or check for updates on the SFN website. To avoid clogging everyone's Inboxes, I will not send last-minute cancellation updates, but will post them to the website instead. If a cancellation is announced far enough in advance, I will of course include it in following week's newsletter.
If you are aware of any new events, please forward them to meor post them to the SfN website (which I check for this email list). If you are one of the 500+ people subscribed to this newsletter, but are not one of our ~271 members, please consider joining SfN-Singapore.
Feel free to forward to anyone who might be interested in psych/neuro event announcements. To subscribe, press the button below.
