Haitian Education during a pandemic

The COVID-19 Pandemic has global impact. Every corner of the planet has been effected to some degree, but the most vulnerable populations are sure to suffer the most grievously. The children of Haiti, are facing challenges even greater than those they're accustomed to.

The story above is not about Jeannette specifically, but these are the issues students at St. Marc's are grappling with. Right now, the Haiti Project is facing critically low fundraising income. We do not have the resources available to fully fund the next school year for St. Marc's. We don't want to see children denied an education. These children are the future of their country. The high quality education provided by St. Marc's gives students the tools they will need to become the change makers Haiti so desperately needs. These students are the hope of their country.

This project matters.
Over the next few months, we'd like to share with you the voices of some of our supporters as well as some of the people who have benefitted from the work of the Haiti Project through the years.
These stories will highlight the importance of the project and the urgency of your support.

"What we get from Jeanette, as one privileged to have served there, is more than what we give. Through partnership, rather than toxic charity, The Haiti Project gives hope for “abundant life” (Jn 10:10) through education, training, medical care and spiritual enrichment to those struggling under many challenges.
Seeing the positive attitude of so many in Jeanette, despite their worldly poverty, the growth in the community in over 30 years of this partnership, gives witness to the impact of this multi-faceted project. We strive to guide them to self-sufficiency yet need to continue supporting this ministry during their ongoing growth.
The reward is that of loving our neighbor, even one so distant."

From Eric Hamburg MD, HP Steering Committee and Health Committee member.  Has been to Jeannette twice to provide health care and do healing ministry.
