Wasn’t it how it all began? Peter remembered his first encounter with the Master. A quiet, sunny morning like this and the sea too peaceful to feed them.

“Friends, have you anything to eat?” The man’s voice vibrated in the silence of the Galilean dawn. Peter knew the voice but couldn’t believe his ears.

“Nothing!” Andrew shouted back from the boat. Peter looked at his brother with disbelief. What on earth was going on?

“Try on the right side!” The man on the shore pointed in the desired direction. Peter frowned but immediately grabbed the net. “You will find something!” Assured the familiar voice.

The boat swung as they tried to pull in the catch. “It cannot be true.” Peter muttered, watching the scene with bewilderment. The sea, the boat, the heavily loaded net – was it really happening? Peter paused, looking into John’s face. His friend stood still, watching the silhouette in the distance.

“It’s the Master!” John whispered eventually.

And Peter needed nothing more. He couldn’t wait for the boat to bring him to the shore. He didn’t want to wait any longer but jumped out as if he never learned to walk on water.
Doesn’t matter.
Nothing mattered anymore.
There was the Master!
